Prayer

What is prayer? From Dr. David Jeremiah's "Today's Turning Point" he says that "Prayer isn't a ritual we keep but a relationship we enjoy" Think about it, we can have a conversation with God Himself, as if He were sitting there with you, just as you have a conversation with a friend. So, next time you pray, talk to God from the your heart, just like you do with your friend.

A prayer to start your day.

Here is a prayer to start your day, to be used by God to those around you. "Lord, take my lips, and speak through them; take my mind, and think through it; take my heart, and set it on fire." By William H. H. Aitken

Rules For Life

Heard Lou Holtz talking on the radio the other day on the Focus on the Family show. He was talking about his three rules for life. Here they are:

  1. Do what's right. Avoid what's wrong.
  2. Do the very best you can. Utilize your talent.
  3. Love those like you want to be loved.

Here are three questions that he asked during this broadcast:

  1. Can I trust you?
  2. Are you committed to excellence?
  3. Do you care about me?
How are you doing in these areas? They are simple rules, but I know that it can be a challenge to do them.
